Tree Service · Charlottesville, VA
Careful removals, precise pruning, and storm response across Charlottesville, Ivy, Pantops, and Crozet.
Charlottesville is not a place where clients want aggressive topping or hack-job removals. Mature oaks, black walnuts, magnolias — these are part of the property's value. We prune and remove with that in mind.
Our Charlottesville-side crew knows how to work around architect-designed homes, established gardens, and tight urban lots where a tree can only come out one way.

Tell us about the project. We'll walk the property, talk it through, and send a clear written estimate — no pressure, no ballparks.
Get StartedCharlottesville's tree canopy is one of the best in Virginia and one of the harder ones to work in. In North Downtown and Belmont, century-old trees stand over historic structures with no drop zone at all, so the work is technical rigging rather than felling. Out toward Ivy and Earlysville the constraint changes from space to slope — hillsides steep enough that where the equipment can safely sit determines how the whole job gets planned.
Ongoing care matters more here than removal. A mature oak or poplar over a historic house is worth keeping, and structural pruning, cabling a weak union, and reducing end weight on long lateral limbs will often extend a tree's safe life by decades. That is a better outcome for the property than taking it down and a far better outcome for the street.
Late winter is the right window for most of this work. The tree is dormant, the structure is readable without leaves, and cuts seal fast once spring growth begins. The exception is anything already hazardous, which should come off whenever it is found.

Ask a questionYes. A large share of our Charlottesville removals are on lots where a tree has to come out in small, rigged pieces — we carry the right gear for that work.
Yes. If a tree can be saved with pruning or cabling we'll tell you. We do not push removals that are not needed.
